"The News"
Today, in 2025, the whole "news media" industry has become unwatchable, unlistenable. It is utter rubbish, hogwash, propaganda, lies and deceits, sensation-seeking nonsense. Well, it had ALWAYS been that way since its inception, but today technology and the general degradation of education has a combined explosive effect on the "news" phenomenon. The situation is somewhat similar to almost any other industry. The scissor is opening. On one hand there are EVIL technologists who use every new invention to increase their efficiency at what they are best; on the other hand, the general populace is stupidified to such a level that they are easier and easier to fool with substandard rubbish and nonsense.
Examples, similar to journalism ("the news"), where the scissor has opened and the stupid nonsense has increased to unprecedented levels:
1. The car industry. They are selling less and less useful cars, dressed up in shinier gowns, charging more and more, and what do you see? Stupid people taking the bait. Okay, there are some smart ones buying old, used cars, knowing they are a much better deal, but proportionally the stupid easily outweigh the smart. Examples of premeditated pitfalls that unsuspecting, naive customers fall into are virtually ALL parts of a car, you can hardly find a part that is NOT designed with Planned Obsolescence in mind. Curved windshields and windows, shiny bumpers front and back, complicated mechanisms instead of simple ones, touchscreen controls instead of buttons, yolks instead of round steeting wheels, etc etc. Stupid customers do not complain about these clear stepbacks and annoyances. They are happy to pay hard-earned money for these substandard, useless pieces of bad engineering. No comment.
2. The smartphone industry. Similarly to cars, they make less and less usable devices, with more and more constraints (non-user-replaceable batteries, shiny fragile screens, no earphone jacks, stupid un-ergonomic buttons (if any), curved displays, no or thin bezels, less and less software control, no removable media, etc... again, the list is long, virtually ANY part you look at, is made to make THEM happy, but YOU, as the customer, you are just milked like a stupid cow, and you let them, instead of revolting and buying NOTHING. No comment.
3. The home (housing) industry. Again, selling less comfortable, less repairable, shinier but shittier homes for astronomical prices. The housing maffia at its best, marching towards while you, the customer, have absolutely no power against them. There are price ceilings implemented in some sane, civilized countries, but in most, the government sides with the developers and you are on the loser end of these deals. You can definitely NOT afford to OWN a home in your lifetime, no matter what mortgage you are taking out for it. No comment.
I think these three examples are enough to see the underlying pattern: there is NO CONTROL over these EVIL industries, they have no constraints, no power is limiting their antics.
Now, the "news media" is a similarly unconstrained, unregulated maffia entity. If it is state controlled, then you know exactly what to expect as "news". If it is NOT state controlled, but market based, then these media compete for your eyeballs and ears, and the modus operandi is that they invent the most sensational bovine excrement lies and unload that garbage onto you. Your task is to ignore all of them, not taking the bait, refusing to watch or listen to them, avoid them like the plague.
Do it, and thank me later... Peace
