Got Talent Shows
You almost probably have already seen at least one of these "Got Talent Shows" already. Click the link to find out their history, who are behind it, and where they have spread in the world already. If you happen to live in a country where it is not yet airing, be happy. Why is it bad, why you should not watch them, you may ask? Well, pay attention to the details. Notice the fake on-prompt applauses, along with the similarly fake audience responses. See how the entire show is more a carefully choreographed spectacle than a spontanous demonstration of excellence. See how the entire show is designed for sensation for the sake of sensation, drama for the sake of drama. Be surprised that a simple feat that someone can sing (in some countries the vast majority of the population can sing better than these "artists") can leave an audience in awe... Question the choice of acts like magic tricks (deception), circus acts (what are they doing in a "talent" show?), and the obvious scam of some really sub-standard acts getting the golden buzz for some random emotional twist. Really, really low energy rubbish dressed and pumped up with special effects and fake props to seem more than what it really is.
By the way, by the same token, you can see the general decline of the TED Talks idea, too. It was relatively entertaining in its humble beginnings in two cities. Today, when everyone willy-nilly can host a TEDx Talks anywhere in the world, the quality of the speeches declined heavily. Today in 2025 you can hardly find any watchable talk among the hundreds available. Again, too much choice, dilution of quality, the result is lethal, TED Talks are dead to any discerning viewer, destroying the original idea by growing it too big, too thin, too quickly.
Why is it, that every good idea, when they grow it and spead it, becomes worthless? The answer is: insatiable GREED. None of these ideas are made with noble goals in mind. All of them were created with greed in mind: to make money. That is their main purpose, their main goal, and as such, as they run after their own tail to get rich quick, the original purpose, "the bait" original idea, vanishes and is replaced by "cut costs, raise price", and the rest is history.
Okay, if you got this one, then as a bonus, remember NOT to watch any series either, ever. If it has more than one part: run away. If it has a second, third, etc part, sometimes dozens or hundreds of "episodes", then you can be sure, that it is not quality content, it is just a "subscription model" content created specifically to have you hooked and milk you in the process. They use addiction psychology to make you dependent on your daily/weekly/monthly dose of dopamine or adrenaline. Never allow anyone taking control of YOUR life in such a manner. So, never watch any "series", even if you only pay with your eyeballs, attention or time, not actual money. It is the same: in fact, TIME is more valuable than money, so if someone sells you something for free, in exchange for your attention or time, remember, they are ripping you off. Run, run, run and never look back. Your life is nothing else than TIME, and guard it with all your force.
